Downtown Bend safe from beehive

City maintenance workers removed a watermelon-size beehive from a tree near Riverfront Plaza next to the Mirror Pond Gallery in downtown Bend on Friday morning, relocating it to a forested area outside of town.

While a few people may have been stung, only one person reported the hive to Bend's....
