Bend residents get new look at future growth

City planners set aside almost 10,000 acres for development

While an idyllic spring day drew to a close in Bend on Thursday, Meghan King, 10, wrung her hands and sighed as a city planner flipped through a series of slides and explained the emerging plan to deal with growing pains in the city.
