Don't reduce funding for public broadcasting

Big Bird isn't on the Endangered Species List, but the state Legislature may cut funding for Oregon Public Broadcasting, again.

Gov. Ted Kulongoski proposed some $3.75 million for OPB. A more recent budget proposal shaves it down to $500,000.

That's the way state support for OPB has been going....
