House recognizes La Pine as a city

SALEM - The Oregon House on Monday passed a resolution that recognizes La Pine for being the state's newest city.

The resolution was carried on the House floor by Rep. Gene Whisnant, R-Sunriver. Nobody else spoke in favor or against it, and it passed unanimously.
