Ron Roberts, Eugene police veteran, to start post May 14

REDMOND - After six months without a permanent police chief and two rounds of applications, the city of Redmond announced Tuesday that Ron Roberts would take over the post starting in May.

Roberts, 45, has spent his 20-year career at the Eugene Police Department, the last seven as a lieutenant.....
