Doctors testify that baby died after being shaken

Defense says child's death came after fall from crib

Over the course of two days this week, six doctors have testified that 16-month-old Maxwell William Murphy Moore died from injuries consistent with a violent shaking.

He stopped breathing on Jan. 3, 2006, while being watched by John Michael Nilles, his mother's live-in boyfriend.
