Prosecutor says death came after man shook baby, caused head trauma in January 2006

A Terrebonne man on trial in the death of his girlfriend's 16-month-old son confessed to picking the infant up and shaking him, Deschutes County District Attorney Mike Dugan said in his opening statement Thursday.
