Products offer protection for kids, but some worry they may go too far

Toddlers can crack their heads on a stone fireplace; they can drown in the toilet; they can be poisoned eating the fertilizer-infused dirt of a houseplant; they can tumble down the stairs or burn a hand by touching a stove.
