Burned food causes smoke damage

A pot of food left on the stove filled a Bend home with smoke around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, but did not ignite a fire, according to a news release from the Bend Fire Department.

No injuries were reported. The smoke caused an estimated $2,000 in damage, according to the release.
