Stabbing gets man 7 1/2-year prison term

A Bend man was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in state prison Tuesday for stabbing a woman in downtown Bend's Grace First Lutheran Church in July.

Floyd Alan Hughes, 45, will also have to spend three years on parole and pay almost $9,800 in fines.

Hughes was convicted by a jury in February of breaking....
