Golfing weather has arrived in Central Oregon, with the start of handicapping season on Friday

Spring is still two weeks away, but the golf season in Oregon officially tees off this Friday.

The Oregon Golf Association has designated March 9 as the official start of the 2007 handicapping season " when golfers with a USGA (United States Golf Association) Handicap Index should begin....
