U.S. Forest Service proposes wildfire reduction projects

Plans include areas outside of Bend, Sunriver

The U.S. Forest Service is planning to mow, burn and thin some of the ponderosa pine forests neighboring Bend and Sunriver to try to reduce the risk of uncontrollable wildfires, and on Wednesday the service is holding a public meeting to answer questions and take input on the proposals.
