Expected heavy snowfall is great news for Central Oregon ski areas, water managers

While only a few snowflakes spiraled to the ground Tuesday afternoon in Bend, flurries flew in the Central Oregon Cascades.

A storm dumped 7 inches of snow at Mt. Bachelor ski area, atop the 3 inches that fell Monday night, according to Mt. Bachelor's Web site.
