Deschutes OKs May vote on 911 levy

Deschutes County Commissioners voted Wednesday to put a $3.5 million per year 911 levy before voters this May.

The ballot measure will ask voters to increase the 911 district's temporary operating levy from 9-cents per $1,000 of assessed property value to 23 cents per $1,000. The new levy would....
