Canal's piping moves forward

Brooks Resources to donate $300,000 toward conservation work

With 48-inch irrigation pipes loaded onto trucks and on their way to Central Oregon, the Swalley Irrigation District is getting ready to start construction on a project that will replace 5.1 miles of its main canal north of Bend with pipes.
