Bend-La Pine wants smaller class sizes, improved literacy

School board anticipates more state dollars to fund initiatives

If Gov. Ted Kulongoski's $6 billion budget blueprint for Oregon public schools comes through, Bend-La Pine Schools may have extra dollars to do such things as reduce class size, improve literacy and add advanced courses at the high school level.
