Bill would let victims tap into felons' pensions

Proposal spurred by Deschutes embezzlement case

SALEM - Legislation that was inspired by the case of former Deschutes County Sheriff Greg Brown, who was convicted in 2002 of embezzlement but did not risk losing any of his pension, was reintroduced Thursday at the Statehouse.
