Patsy R. Connington, of Bend, died Wednesday of cancer. She was 78.

Mrs. Connington was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Fort Smith, Ark., to George and Bessie (Wooten) Martin. She married Marvin Campbell. She later married Paul Connington.
