George Aguilar Sr. has won an Oregon Book Award for his book, "When the River Ran Wild! Indian Traditions on the Mid-Columbia and the Warm Springs Reservation."

Aguilar, of Warm Springs, won the Sarah Winnemucca Award for Creative Nonfiction.
