Even as he marches toward retirement, Oregon Youth ChalleNGe Director Rick DeMars isn't afraid to raise his voice.

When three of his cadets at the Oregon National Guard-run school walked too slowly on their way to meet a visitor Tuesday, DeMars let them know it.
