REDMOND - Thomas Hargett was severely depressed.

Not only was he about to undergo open-heart surgery - but he would have to miss archery hunting season.

The young teen, now a 14-year-old freshman at Redmond High School, literally had a hole in his heart - called a ventricular septal defect.
