When it comes to head lice, schools can't be too picky

School nurses deal with lots of issues, ranging from sore throats to seizures. But one that always leaves them scratching their heads is lice.

The sesame seed-size bugs never really go away, but this year is not unusually bad, said Marylou Paterson, head nurse for Bend-La Pine Schools.
