Our family had a 45-15 year-round school schedule for three years - the one that letter writer Gentry Wade referenced on Nov. 26. There are financial advantages, but too many disadvantages.

There are four schedules (25 percent are out at a time.) Who gets what schedule becomes ugly. Great if you....
