Lack of permits delays opening for Bend convention center

Postponement forces groups to change event plans; opening may be next week

The new Riverhouse Convention Center's delayed opening has forced several companies or groups to reschedule or relocate their events.

The conference center, which was scheduled to open today, has been delayed until at least Friday because the building still needs to get temporary occupancy....
