Firefighters put out bus smoke

A Bend Area Transit bus began smoking around 4 p.m. Saturday in the Wal-Mart parking lot on the south side of Bend, according to a Des-chutes County 911 dispatcher.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, and the smoking was stopped with a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.
