MADRAS - Jefferson County voters have two options for sheriff: electing the incumbent, Sheriff Jack Jones, or electing John Barrett, 40, a deputy who Jones fired early this year. As a result of his termination, Barrett's eligibility to serve as sheriff is in limbo.
