LA PINE - Hobbling through the hall into a back room that smelled of freshly brewed coffee, 75-year-old Perry Strausbaugh chuckled as he pulled a white sock down, revealing his prosthetic leg of steel.

"Dad! Don't take your sock off!" said Tim Strausbaugh, Perry's 51-year-old son.....
