Deschutes land values soar

Tax caps mean average Bend property tax bill rises just 2.6 percent

Deschutes County property owners are seeing some eye-popping numbers as their tax bills arrive this fall.

Property values countywide are up more than 30 percent from the last billing cycle, county Assessor Scot Langton said.
