Deschutes inmate attempts suicide

A male inmate at the Deschutes County jail attempted suicide around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, just hours after he was arrested, by winding his T-shirt around his neck and tying it to a handicap bar, according to a news release from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office.
