Local snowboarders fare well at World Cup

SOELDEN, Austria - Part-time Sisters resident Chris Klug placed 21st and Adam Smith of Bend finished 31st in a parallel giant slalom snowboarding World Cup event on Sunday.

Klug was the third American placer and Smith finished as the fifth U.S. rider.
