Jefferson County recall fails

Two-thirds of county voters reject effort to oust Ponsford

MADRAS - Jefferson County Commissioner Walt Ponsford held onto his commission seat Tuesday evening, when more than two-thirds of county voters struck down a recall effort.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, more than 2,500 voters, or 71 percent, said Ponsford should not be recalled.....
