Artist hopes mural softens institutional feel of hospital

David Kinker spent four weeks creating multi-wall painting

Bunnies, bats and squirrels aren't what you'd expect to find in a hospital.

But in the pediatric wing of St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, the fuzzy critters frolic away, thanks to a Bend artist who recently completed a large multi-wall mural in the department.
