Longer casts mean more water - and more fish - for a steelhead fly angler.
So it's no surprise that many who fish on the Lower Deschutes are using 12- to 15-foot spey rods, with which they can cast their line out to nearly 100 feet.
As the steelhead continue to make their way upstream this....
