Crop grossed nearly $9M for Central Oregon farmers last year

MADRAS - Buy carrots at any supermarket in the United States and there's a 75 percent chance the seeds for the carrots originated on one of 2,500 acres in Central Oregon growing hybrid carrot seeds, said Mike Weber, managing partner at Madras-based Central Oregon Seeds Inc.
