Hicks can't explain why he shot wife

A Bend man charged with murdering his stepdaughter and attempting to murder his wife could not explain why he shot his spouse 29 years in August 2005, according to an interrogation video recorded the day after the murder.

The video was shown Wednesday to 12 jurors in Deschutes County Circuit....
