Bend property ground zero for gypsy moths

State agriculture officials to continue trapping harmful moths; spraying expected in spring

Stan Stone had never heard of gypsy moths, so it came as a big surprise when he learned they were trapped on his property northwest of Bend.

"I had no idea," he said of the moths found on one of his apple trees. "I was shocked."
