Bowhunters gear up

With season in Oregon starting next week, archers prepare

It's August, so all is quiet at the Bend Bowmen Archery Club's facility in southeast Bend.

But that's not because Central Oregon bowhunters aren't busy. Most of them are tuning their bows, practicing their calls and brushing up on GPS knowledge.
