Swimmers, families visit Bend for season-ending swim meet

The sound of the airhorn at 5 on Friday evening marked the start of the girls 500-yard freestyle - and the kick off of the 2006 Bend Open Swim Meet, as some 500 swimmers from across the state gather this weekend at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center's indoor and outdoor pools.
