Dozens of people speak out before commission against new development

The Jefferson County Commission heard an application Wednesday to subdivide the 152-acre farm of a dead woman.

Leona Waldow, who died July 26 at the age of 97, was the first person in Jefferson County to successfully come before the county commission and ask for a subdivision of her property....
