Bend's Downs 13th in amateur tourney

CANBY - Kailin Downs of Bend finished in a tie for 13th place Friday at the Safeway Classic Amateur Open held at Langdon Farms Golf Club.

Downs, a 2001 graduate of Bend's Mountain View High School, shot a 6-over-par 78 in the field of 22 amateur players.
