Shedding his flip-flops, potter John Kinder carefully used his toes to mold a bowl out of the ball of clay on a potter's wheel set up Friday evening in the Blue Spruce Gallery's parking lot in Bend.

Beside him, Jolene Cap used her elbows to create her own bowl.
