Prineville depot earns $2 million state grant

The City of Prineville Railway almost ceased to exist two years ago. The 18-mile railway faced extinction when it handled only 87 carloads of shipments in 2004. In the railroad's peak service year in 1971, it moved 10,000 carloads.
