Wal-Mart loses land use appeal

State upholds Bend's decision to deny Supercenter application

For the second time, Wal-Mart's plans to build a 216,000-square-foot Supercenter at the north end of Bend have been rolled back.

On Friday, the state's Land Use Board of Appeals issued a decision upholding city Hearings Officer Karen Green's denial of Wal-Mart's application.
