Bat caves blocked to protect dwellers

Townsend's western big-eared bats are discriminating about where they hibernate. They don't like to roost in buildings or under a tree's bark where some other Central Oregon bats can nestle. Instead, the big-eared bats seek a dry cave wall to cling to with air that's not too cold.
