Sylvia Whitney, of Prineville, died Sunday. She was 83.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Prineville.

Mrs. Whitney was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Hannibal, Mo., to John and Elsie (Mayhood) Scanlon. She graduated from Corbett High School.....
