Bend mom honors fallen son with ride to D.C. memorial

Barb Lyons started a cross-country pedal from Bend to Washington, D.C., Saturday to deliver a bike to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial where her son's name is engraved on a curved marble wall.

It's a bike she couldn't bring herself to ride for 2 1/2 years after her son, 23-year-old....
