Duathletes duel it out near Bend

Michael Denis and Lisa Magness, both of Bend, were first to cross the finish line in their respective divisions Saturday at the Duel in the Desert, a duathlon staged at Summit High School in Bend.

Some 80 racers took to the run-bike-run course, which included a choose-your-own bike leg.....
