WOODBURN - Joel Salmond picked a perfect time to shoot what he called two of the best rounds of his life.

The Bend High junior carded a 70 during Tuesday's final round to claim sixth place at the Class 4A boys state championship golf tournament on the OGA Course in Woodburn.
