Local food drive nets hefty haul

Central Oregon mail carriers collected nearly 50,000 pounds of food Saturday, as part of a national food drive.

The event was organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers.

The food will go to local social service agencies, according to a news release by the Central Oregon Community....
