Velma May Bassage-Hill of La Pine died Sunday. She was 93.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Santa Barbara, Calif. There will be an ice cream social in honor of Ms. Bassage-Hill at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Prairie House in La Pine.
